This is my most recent guitar. The top features a really unusual piece of Brazilian Rosewood Burl that I brought back from Paracho, Mexico about 20 years ago. The neck is made from three-pieces of East Indian and Mexican Rosewood, and the body is made from perfectly quartered, tight grained old growth Doug Fir. Annie designed and inlayed the Ebony fingerboard with Curly Koa and Paulo Escrita, and the design sure looks like music to me! The inlay of the world on the peghead is Zebrawood and Maple Burl. The guitar features a polymer film pickup in the bridge, and a Hybrid Poly-mag in front of that. This guitar sounds just like an acoustic from the bridge pickup, and more like a Rickenbacker 12 when panned over to the Poly-mag. The neck is so stable, it recently returned from a month long cross country road trip without going out of tune. I might have trouble letting this one go, because I doubt I will ever find another piece of top wood like this. My goal (if someone is interested) is to save up enough money to return to Paracho in search of some more wood.
