Distortion -
    -This is most likely caused by the battery being low or dead and can easily be solved by replacing it.

    -Our preamps are very high gain and another culprit might be the amp being over driven. Adjust the volume levels on the preamp and amp until proper results are achieved.

No Output -
    -Check that the strap button allows the preamp to plug all the way into the jack.
    -Test all cables and equipment downstream of the preamp.
    -Check battery.

Snap, crackle, pop -
    -Check that the strap button allows the preamp to plug all the way into the jack.
    -Test all cables and equipment downstream of the preamp.

Loose battery -
    -On occasion the foam tape that holds the battery will come loose. You may replace the tape and secure the battery back in its proper place.

Preamp gets hot -
    -Please contact PUTW for repair or replacement options.

If all of the above troubleshooting methods fail please contact PUTW to discuss options. Pick-up the World guarantees its products to be free of defects for five years in normal use. If anything fails under normal operating conditions, it will be promptly repaired or replaced by PUTW.
