Introducing the new PUTW Hybrid Poly-Mag
This completely new pickup design is a total departure from traditional magnetic pickups of any type, and uses no coils or inductive components in its construction.
The output signal is generated by using micro sized neodymium magnets and polymer film, and the result is an extremely quiet, linear pickup that is also the smallest and lightest magnetic pickup ever created for acoustic musical instruments. Weighing in at only a few grams, and with a height of only 1/8" (.125") and a width slightly over ¼" (.25"), the Hybrid Poly-Mag fits neatly on the end of a guitar's fingerboard without blocking the soundhole or loading or clamping the soundboard. The output reflects a 50/50 blend of body sensing and magnetic sensing, and the pickup works with all high impedance pre-amps designed for piezo type pickups. The tone is extremely well balanced and woody, and is accurate to the natural tone of the guitar. The Poly-Mag is well suited for all playing styles, and has been described as the best sounding single source pickup ever designed for acoustic guitars.

Versions for archtop guitars, mandolins, and solid body instruments are in the works, and should be available by 11/04.
