This is a self-contained kit that mounts to the rim of conga drums or other similar drums. The element is very responsive to subtle nuances and is much more out of the way of playing movements than microphones are. The attack is direct and pronounced, and the frequency response is enormous. The kits come with a pickup that plugs directly into a Line Driver pre-amp. The player has complete control over volume and gain right at the instrument. The output is ¼", and can be plugged directly into anything.
