This is a Mountain Dulcimer I built for my wife Annie about 4 years ago. It features a one piece old growth Red Adirondack Spruce soundboard, and back and sides from some Paulo Escrita wood that I found in Paracho, Mexico over 15 years ago. The head and tail blocks are solid Spruce, and the entire instrument is inlayed with Abalone purfling and Curly Maple binding. I'm still trying to come up with an original idea for the soundhole ports, but since it resides here with us, and sounds pretty good as it is, I can wait until something nice comes to mind.
